Daniel R. Granados '90

Daniel R. Granados '90 has made being a Jefferson Mustang a family tradition. This proud father of four still lives in the Jefferson area. His family includes his wife Cathy '91, his son DJ '10, his daughter Samantha '14, his son Jason '16 and his youngest daughter Allison '19.

While at Jefferson, Daniel was a member of the Mustang Band and ROTC. He was also a Feature Editor for The Declaration. Daniel mentioned, "In high school, I loved the fact that each organization I was a part of ... felt like a family. I still see and hang out with my band friends."

After high school, Daniel pursued a career in customer service and later moved into the financial legal field.

Currently, Daniel is in his eighth year with the Jefferson Band Boosters and is this year's President. He is also the Cheer / Lil' Lasso Director for Jefferson Mustangs Pop Warner, an Advisory Board Member for the TJHS Historical Preservation Society and is a former President of the SAISD Fine Arts Coalition.

Daniel offers the following advice to fellow Mustangs, "Keep the tradition of Jefferson going so future Mustangs can have the same great experience that we have."

The TJHS Alumni Association thanks Daniel Granados for this interview and for serving a great role model for all Mustangs.
